30 years ago, a very good friend of ours began to sell potatoes at her farm gate. As interest grew, she slowly began to introduce other fruit and vegetables to her stock. The result - Peckfield Farm Shop was born.
The business soon outgrew the stall at the gates and so took up residence in the building where we still reside today. A succesful trial period of stocking dry dog food led to a larger range of feed being held in stock on a regular basis.
The business was thriving when we took over in 1997 but with plenty of scope for expansion. In the immediate years since, we expanded our range to include many more popular brands of pet foods. We also added extensive ranges of Horse & Pony, Wild Bird and Poultry feeds, supplements and accessories.
We still maintain a thriving fruit and vegetable department which includes our locally sourced quality free range eggs and potatoes, as well as a variety of barn eggs.
Our floristry section can provide everything from a small ready made bouquet to a full wedding or funeral service, and if you are a keen gardener we have a good supply of composts and plants of all kinds. Our locally grown summer bedding, vegetable and tomato plants are exceptionally good value during the Spring planting season.
We are also agents for Flogas, supplying bottled gas for barbecues, patio heaters and caravans.
A year round stock of housecoal, logs, smokeless fuels and firewood are also available.
